Roaring Wind Tribune is a Christian newspaper based out of Maryland. It all began with one man’s dream to bring the love of God to his local community. His dream became a reality in September 2019 with the very first edition.

“We believe that the door to salvation is always open and so are the doors to the churches in our community. Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus by opening our arms to those in search of the truth. We show God’s love and concern for our fellow man at every opportunity. Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus.” –Roaring Wind Tribune

20,000 newspapers are printed each month and distributed to local business, churches, and ministries. Roaring Wind Tribune is filled with uplifiting articles, and columns like Hometown Heroes and Dear Abba. They even have a crossword puzzle.

The electronic version is available at their site for free, or you can subscribe and receive a newspaper in your mailbox each month. Subscriptions are $30 a year.

Unbeknownst to me, someone from Roaring Wind Tribune came across my article The Narrow Path and invited me to contribute to their publication. I was so surprised and honored. I didn’t know anything about them at the time but now I do. I’m thrilled to be able to participate in spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ with this awesome newspaper.

The link will take you to all of their electronic editions. If you open the current issue, July 2021, you can find my article, The Narrow Path, on page 6. You can also read all of the other great articles and resources.

Joey Flynn's Extraordinary Tale

It All Started 3 Years Ago

be71bd45-4030-46e8-9bd0-5f1f5c6259b7

Three years ago today I published my very first blog post. I had no idea what I was doing. I dipped my little toe in the blogging world on April 24, 2018. I did not know where to start. I did not know what to write. But I knew I had to do it. After praying about it for several days an idea came to mind. I wrote about how unqualified I am to write.

Unqualified

The reason I started this blog was because of my children’s book, Joey Flynn’s Extraordinary Tale. I never wanted to be a writer. I had zero writing dreams or desires. Writing was nowhere on my radar, but God had a different plan.

Why Did I Write A Children’s Book?

I am terrible about promoting my book. There is a link on my home page and that’s about it for self promotion. I’ve just never been comfortable with pushing my book. If you are a Kindle Unlimited subscriber you can get my book for free. Several times a year I give away the Kindle version.

Three years goes by fast. A lot has happened in these brief years. I have learned a lot about my faith, and about myself. The first year of my little blog, I hardly wrote. Maybe once or twice a month. I bumped it up the second year. Now, I try to write a weekly post. It doesn’t always happen and sometimes I just don’t want to write.

To stay motivated to keep writing, I try and think of just one person. That maybe, just maybe, one person will read my post and be encouraged. My goal is the same today as it was in the beginning. Encouragement for the Believer, and plant seeds of faith for the Non-Believer.

I want to be as honest as possible about my own struggles, weaknesses, and triumphs. When I share parts of my life I pray that someone sees they are not alone. Christians are real people, with real issues, with real hope because of Jesus.

I just want to say “Thank you!” to each of you. Thank you for reading, following, and supporting my little blog. It’s my tiny corner of the world, so thanks for hanging out with me. Each of you are a blessing to me.

I’m always happy to pray for you. Please don’t hesitate to share your prayer requests with me. It’s a privilege to pray. meghanewhiteauthor@gmail.com

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I love you guys.

Love,

Meghan

SEEING Christmas

img_3878

Does the holiday season feel too overwhelming or materialistic to you? Are you searching for a way to make Christmas more meaningful for you, and your children, or grandchildren?

Come take a look at Christmas through a different set of eyes. Come see the season in a whole new light. Be inspired by noticing Jesus in places you may not have seen Him before, hiding in every detail of the most wonderful time of the year!

I am so pleased to share this lovely book with all of you. Karen Stacy wrote this poem for her family, and eventually turned it into a book. It’s beautifully illustrated by Joel Schoon-Tanis. SEEING Christmas is a wonderful story with fresh new insight on this holy season.

I won SEEING Christmas last year through a contest on Instagram. Immediately, I fell in love with this delightful story. It’s a great addition to my Christmas books, and I highly recommend you purchase a copy, or two or three, and give them away. It makes a great gift for friends, family, and churches.

Read more about Karen Stacy here:

I originally wrote SEEING Christmas as a poem to be read to my family on Christmas morning. At that time, it seemed like everyone was saying Christmas was too materialistic, and I just didn’t see it that way. I could see Jesus in all of it, from the tree, to the gifts, to the toys, and much more. So I put together a poem to share with my adult children and grandchildren, in the hopes of inspiring a new perspective on Christmas for them.

When I read it to them, they immediately said I needed to make it a book so the message could be shared with everyone. The process of turning my little family poem into a beautiful hardcover picture/gift book, has been a true labor of love. My hope and prayer is that it will bless and inspire everyone to see Jesus in ALL things Christmas, not just the manger.

Karen Stacy is a wife, mother, grandmother, and avid Jesus follower. She seeks and finds Him in every detail of life, and is passionate about sharing her vision with others. A lover of birds, rainbows, anything tiny, and all things home, Karen also treasures her morning run and her afternoon Starbucks. She and her husband Mark live in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where her greatest joy is time spent in their home together with their kids and grandkids, especially at Christmas.
