That’s me. Unqualified. I shouldn’t be writing. That’s for the pro’s. Those with fancy literary degrees. Intellectuals. Or those with natural writing talent, which I don’t have. I am a regular person. Ordinary. I had no writing dreams, until now.
God has placed a dream inside of me to reach people through writing. His people. Kids and grown ups. To tell them there is hope. Some know Him and some don’t yet. So I will write His words to share the message of the hope found in Christ.
God likes to use the unqualified to shine His light. He gets the glory. For me to write, I need Him. I cannot accomplish it on my own ability. With Him, I truly can do all things. All of us are unqualified on our own to do what God has called us to do. The God sized tasks require God.
Willingness is also required. He is looking for those who will go for it and do what He asks, in spite of not being fit for the job. The obedient. Those who say “Yes Lord, I’ll do it”. That’s where He meets you. At the point of your own inability is where He shows up and does remarkable things.
I pray you are encouraged to be used by God, even if you and I are unqualified. We are the kind of people He’s looking for. He wants to use you. Will you let Him? I know it’s scary. I’m still scared, but I will keep stepping out in faith as he leads me to write. Go for it! Take the first step.
1 Corinthians 1:28-29 “He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things – and the things that are not – to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him” (NIV).
Love you all,
